Fashion Star is an upcoming American reality television series on NBC, which focuses on fashion design and is hosted by model Elle Macpherson. The contestants compete with each other to create the best clothes and are restricted in time, materials and theme. Their designs are judged, and one or more designers are eliminated each week.[1]
It will be recorded live before studio audience and will feature music, dancers and models. Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos will be the contestants' mentors.[2]
